The Light application
Do you find yourself fumbling in the dark for a flashlight? This app turns your iPhone into a
flashlight quickly and easily. This is ideal when you are looking for your keys or are trying to track something down in your car.

The EReader
Forget about a bulky and cumbersome Kindle, this app makes your iPhone into a ebook reader. You
can buy and download them at ereader, or Fictionwise as well as many other ebook outlets. The eReader is a fantastic little tool.

Evernote
If you are a post-it note writer, and are fed up with misplacing them, or simply forgetting
about them, then this app is a cool way to jot down all those things that are jotted down all

Ball Jump App Review

Ball Jump is a game that was just released to the app store. This is a very fun free smartphone app, and I was requested to review this app. Ball Jump is a fun and exciting platform game similar to Doodle Jump. The best part about this app, is that it’s a  free smartphone app! The object of this game is to get your ball as high as you can, by jumping off of platforms. This simple concept makes this such a fun game!

Low Grav Racer 2 iPhone

Low Grav Racer lite is a free smartphone app from the Apple app store. This is a great racing game for the iPhone platform, and would look great on an iPhone 4 high resolution retina display screen, because it is so crisp and easy to look at.

Most racing free smartphone apps are very incomplete, especially when you get the lite version. However, in this free smartphone app the gameplay is very complete, and the pro version doesn’t offer much, although, I do recommend getting the pro version to support the developer.

Now lets look at the gameplay. The gameplay in this free smartphone app looks great, but does have room for improvement. When you tilt the device a little to the left, you will bank left, but your craft rotates dramatically. This may confuse some users at first, but isn’t a major problem.

Whenever you are playing the free smartphone app you will notice these orbs in the middle of the track. If you hit one, you will then be able to have a temporary special ability. This would include things like speed boosts, lasers, bombs, etc. This is a great way to change up the gameplay, and help you get into the top spot.

When you are first starting the app, you have the choice to either choose the alpha or beta class racer. After choosing you can then choose from a few different racers, all a little different. I like the ability to choose because you can find a good racer and use it.

Low Grav Racer is a great racing game for the iPhone. I would recommend this to anyone that basically likes racing games! This is app is different because you can still have a lot of content on the free version, unlike other racing free smartphone apps !

Tilt to Live iPhone App

Tilt to Live is one of my favorite free smartphone apps for the iPhone. This is a very fun game for the iPhone console that looks great,and plays well. While the app is simple, it is still very fun. You can get this app in the iTunes store from searching Tilt to Live.

Tilt to Live is one of the more high quality free smartphone apps available. There are 3 modes for gameplay. First is classic mode, in classic mode your objective is to avoid the red dots as long as you can. After a while, these dots start to work together, making formations, grouping etc. This really makes the classic mode harder and much more entertaining.

The next gameplay mode is called Code Red. Code Red is just like classic mode, but the game gets harder much faster. This is an even quicker and more challenging way to play this game, and personally, I think its really fun.

The third and last mode is the Gauntlet mode. The Gauntlet mode is very, very, fun. In this mode you must weave your way through big dot formations. Inside some of these formations there are Orbs, these orbs will help keep you alive longer.

What is great about some free smartphone apps is that the gameplay is never the same. You can say the same thing for this game. In this free smartphone app you can expect something new to come.

This is one of my favorite free smartphone apps for a reason. This is a very fun and addicting game for the iPhone that can be played for hours non stop. I would easily recommend this to anyone that has an iPhone, or hates red dots.

iBooks for iPhone 4 and iOS4

iBooks for iPhone 4

iBooks is a great free smartphone app for the iOS4 software update. iBooks was previously only for the iPad, but it is finally coming to the iPhone, only on the iOS4 update. Now, this app does need to be downloaded from the app store before you can have it, but it is worth it!

If you don’t know what iOS4 is, it is the software update for the iPhone that Steve Jobs announced at the World Wide Developers Conference. This update added things like folders and multitasking with different free smartphone apps to make the iPhone more current.

When you get the iBooks free smartphone app you will also be getting the iBookstore, where you can browse and buy books. When you first get the app you will also notice that you get a free book with it “Winnie the Pooh” for reading.

With iBooks, reading a book is nice. Whenever you are reading you may find a word you don’t know. All you have to do is select the word. Now you can look it up in a dictionary, highlight it, Note it, and Search for it.

This free smartphone app also has some cool options that makes it an even better app. When you are using the app you have a few options. You can adjust the iPhone’s brightness, change the font size and style, you can make the page white or sepia and bookmark a page.

Now, lets look at the iBookstore. The iBookstore has 5 columns. The first is the Featured column. These are books that have been chosen by Apple to be there. Also on this page, you will find icons saying something like Summer Reading. If you tap these you will see the selection for Summer Reading.

Next in this free smartphone apps is Charts. If you look at the Top Charts tab you will see the overall  top books in the books store. You can also see the top free books in this list. You can also look at the New York Times tab and see their top sellers.

The next column is the Browse column. Here you can browse by Author on top categories. For example, I can find that Dafydd ab Hugh is the top author for paid fantasy books. If I tap him I can see his books, and maybe even buy one.

Next is the Search tab. You can search for authors and books from here in an easy to use way. Next is the Purchases column. This tells you all the purchases you have made within the app.

This is a great free smartphone app for anyone looking for a way to read good books. The good thing about the iBookstore is that it is easy to find the books you like, and it is easy to read them on the iPhone 4 retina display. This is a great app for the road, or anywhere, that is very easy to use.
